Hello! Recently I've heard the "Ghost Town" song for a first time. For a several last years my life is strongly connected with Pripyat and the Zone. Can you tell, please, how was this song born? Why did you decide to write a song about Pripyat? By the way, most of Ukrainians even do not know details about Chernobyl. I was very surprised, when I've heard about Red Forest in your song, and it was a pleasant surprise! :) Have you ever been there? Or may be you read some literature about the disaster before writing the song?
Iyhan,
The song came to us very quickly one evening. We had each, on the recommendation of a mutual friend, been to Elena Filatova's website about Chernobyl. That night at practice, being so moved by Elena's pictures and comments, the song just flowed out of us. We wrote most of it right there, with very few changes later on. Thank you so much for your kind words and personal insights.

Thanks for your post, Jérémy. We don't have tablature for Ghost Town. But we have chords on this website. Go to Music, and choose Ghost Town. Then choose lyrics. The chords are written above the words. Hope this helps!

I happened to hit your site and saw all of the international feedback. I thought I would drop you a note just to let you know we still love ya right here in your back yard. You're getting famous worldwide. That is what happens when you look at the world with "warehouse eyes". See you round. Pete

The slide show of my pictures from the ghost town is now ready and publicly available as part of the new site.
The site can be found here: www.pripyat.nu
Thanks again for letting me use your song for the slide show.
I've listened to it a lot while working on the timing of the slide show, and the song is still awesome!

I too stumbled upon chernobils video on you tube and your song, I too cried, I too felt sadness beyond measure, and then I look at my sons and I think what a world is this and how does one cope and what is we have to do when the darkness that is falling up on human race is so dark and inevitable makes me want to die.

I've just listened "Ghost Town".....and watched the related video.....it is friday Feb 27th. 2009 now and the Italian governor has just approved the construction of 4 nuclear stations in Italy....they will be our first stations...The governor says: it is because we cannot sustain the cost of energy, from carbon and oil, any longer....I cannot belive that there are not alternative ways to have some warm in the winter...and light in the night....if someone has hidden the alternatives in the past centuries, he will be responsible of Chernobyl....and of the all other occurred accidents we will never know......
God bless you guys....Thank you

Your song Ghost Town is one of the few songs ever that moved me to tears, it contains so many and so powerfull emotions. You guys pay the greatest of tributes to the firefighters of Chernobyl: to simply not forget them.

Thanks for “Ghost Town” because without this song I never would found this pearl of intelligent music. My current favourites are “Company Man” and “How Lucky” – two sides of one dream.
By the way, “brave” is an interesting little word. In German there is the word “brav”. It means “well-behaved” – it is more a word for a child or a dog, but it fits: first the fireman is “brave”/”brav”, then he become sick and in the end nobody cares.
And the man sits alone on a bench in the rain and thinks … about the long and winding road or the steam ship – who knows.

I heard 'Ghost Town' via Elena Filatova's film on youtube. Man, this is one of the only songs that constantly brings me to tears. It's a powerful combination of lyrical prowess, and what I think must be an understanding of what happened at Chernobyl.
In my opinion, if anyone ever makes a movie about this event, they must use this song in the soundtrack.
I'll give your album a try guys, as this song caught my attention. Can't wait to hear your other songwriting skills.
